Color Finder
It's less of an issue now, but in some older browsers and computers have troubles displaying millions of colors. In this case, the browser resorts to dithering. Dithering is the process that a program uses when it cannot display the full range of colors in a particular image. It tries to "fake" the color by interweaving the colors it can represent so that they are close to the desired color. The result looks grainy, and usually doesn't come close to the desired color.
The only way to be certain to avoid dithering is to use a color pallet the program can represent. Input the color value as either the RGB or the HTML value and click Calculate Colors to find the web safe colors that best match the inputted color.
